The Ease of Today

Cool. Wednesday, the 11th of March 2026. And one of the things that I'm beginning to learn this week, especially, right?  And the things that I'm beginning to appreciate is that there is a subtle, although it's not massively impactful, danger that comes from the world that we're

currently living in today. The world where everything is so accessible. The click of a button, you can get an Uber, and the click of a button, you can get somebody to deliver food to you.

At the click of a button, you know, if you sign up to a specific app, you can get matched, you know, with several different human beings without ever actually having to have a conversation with them face to face.

Um, this, this, this idea of automation and everything happening at the click of a button is removing me.

I'm not going to speak for us, but it's removing me from, you know, appreciating, you know, the manual process and the labour, you know, the laborous process that goes behind, you know, becoming successful as a rap artist.

Again, my expectations continue to get crushed by some of the things that I'm expecting to happen. Like, you know, posting a piece of content. Why have I not gone viral?

Sending somebody a song? Why did they not like it? Um, you know, just effectively pushing out my music.

Why am I not rich for music yet? um expecting it to happen overnight. Because again, you know, the world that I'm living in, where, you know, it is very consumption-based world that I'm living in, has helped or, you know, I used the word helped in a very ironic sense or in a very, I suppose, uh, in a very weird sense, but it's helped, you know, it's worked against my favour to condition me to, uh, you know, be very, not necessarily hard-working, but be very intentional in the decisions that I make to effectively bring my music world and my music career to life.

It is a very mechanical process, as much as people think are, you know, just post on TikTok and, you know, you know, do your thing. There's a lot that goes into it.

And like I said, if I don't, if I, if I'm not the person who's at the driver's seat of this vehicle, this vehicle is not, nobody, nobody's gonna put the key in the vehicle for me.

No one's going to put. So let's put the vehicle into. You know, no one's going to select the gear.

No one's gonna drive me anywhere. I'm going to stay in exactly the same spot.
