Running Again

Okay, Monday, the 26th of January, 2026. Just completing my run. Yeah, that's right. I started running. To be honest, it's something like, you know, that I have been doing for a while. I was doing it a lot when I was in prison.

Um, tried to kind of like carry on after leaving prison in 2020. Um, kind of like tried to continue that during COVID times, but that never really bared through, to be honest. And since then I haven't gone back to it. So I've been gearing myself up to get back into it. I know it's been such a long time, but you know, completed my run.

Um, on top of that, I also kind of like stood underneath a freaking cold shower. I've got plenty of stories that go on for days when it comes to kind of like cold showers, because whilst it was in prison, whilst I was in prison, there was literally like no, no freaking, uh, you know, no hot water. So, you know, you know, I had to basically stand underneath like a cold shower, like, you know, in the morning.

And this was like, you know, during every freaking season, spring, summer. Uh, you know, uh, autumn, winter. Of course, the showers did work. They did work, like, you know, when you had multiple people kind of like, you know, standing in the shower, I know this kind of sounds a little bit suspicious, you know, given the nature of kind of like what happens in the showers and stuff like that.

But effectively kind of like if, you know, you have multiple people, like in each individual cubicle, the water tends to warm up, but if you're there by yourself, you're going to be having a cold shower. Very much reminds me of, um, you know, this book called Host by Lewis Sakar, um, and reminds me kind of like how Stanley Stanley Yellnats, you know, how he, uh, kind of like arrived at Camp Green Lake or Cam Green Lane, I don't even know what it's called.

And, you know, they're just basically, like, you had to tell, like, the coldest shower, which was like ridiculous. The good thing for him is that he was in a desert, but, you know, it kind of like ease, what it is, you know what I'm saying? But yeah, man. Uh, you know, thankful I've completed my shower. Been a bit of a chaotic day, but I can't say that it hasn't been productive, so I'm trying to use this last hour of the day to just basically kind of like hone in on what I need to do and just carry on from the rest really.
