Numbers Are Not Everything

All right, then, Saturday the 7th of March 2026. And I've been talking a little bit about this newsletter that I'm trying to develop. It's quite complex, even though it's straightforward.
It does require a bunch of bells and whistles and not really the most amount of bells and
whistles, but enough for me to warrant calling it complex. And as well as as well as newsletters, I've also been communicating about not really having the battery to withstand the amount of
communication that I need to do on a daily basis to connect with audiences. And all of that being put together has led me to the discovery that, really and truthfully, right, as much as verality and having lots of followers, lots of likes, being famous and looking polished on social media, is important in the hearts and minds of many.
One thing that I do want to really, really, um, a point that I really want to drive home is the sheer reality that when it, you know, when it comes to people, right, even when it comes to me and when it comes to whomsoever you are, if you're listening to this as a content creator or whatever, uh, numbers are not really as important as people.
So these metrics that we use to effectively establish how good we feel about, you know, how we're doing on social media. It's really a fallacy if I'm being honest with you.
Like a lot of these accounts, they have 1000s and 1000s of followers, and yeah, like, you know, a lot of them, you know, do engage and they're doing very well, but the fundamental thing to get right is the fact that you are a person and the people that you are communicating with are also people.
So I'm now coming to the point where, you know, I'm no longer, you know, being harsh on myself for not being able to consistently communicate and remain present on social media because at the end of the day, I am a human and I do have a battery.
And I also need to, in essence, learn what my limit is when it comes to engaging with people, having systems where I'm able to create touchpoints and connect with people without necessarily burning myself out.
So I just wanted to leave with this point before I part on with the rest of the day, even though there's not much left of it because it's 23 minutes past 8. So, you know, uh, and apart from that, I hope everybody's having a great day. It's been a pleasure.
