Limitation on My Commitments

Monday 19th of May 2025 and you know one of the things that I guess I could really improve on is really getting a firm understanding of my limitations when it comes to my commitments. Now because of my nature, because of my people-pleasing nature, something that I'm honest

enough to kind of like speak openly and kind of like be open about it. You know, one of the pleasing things of my, you know, sorry, one of the, you know, one of my character traits, my people-pleasing character traits, kind of like makes me effectively commit to everything. When really and truthfully, there's a limitation to what I can commit to. Yeah, financially, you know commit to financially, socially, work-wise, there's a limit to what

my time is effectively limited. My time is also a resource. I'll probably be talking about this at a later date and probably turn it into an article valuable to people that are looking to get more out of their time. But in essence the short and sweet of it is the fact that time, you know, the same place that, you know, the same thing that we need to spend time with friends, spend time with family is the same thing that we need to make money.

Literally, like, you know, we need time to go to work, time to see our friends, time to see our family. And so it kind of like circles back to my original point that time is a limited resource because of the lifestyle that we live and therefore our commitment, there's a limitation to the commitments we can make.

But me, being somebody that really struggles to say no, because I say yes all the time and all of these things, it's like it makes it pretty difficult, you know, kind of like to, you know, to kind of like, you know, use time appropriately, so to speak. So I really kind of need to work on that, because it's putting a limitation on my capabilities, because in essence, if I commit to everything, I really don't commit to anything at all.
