Knowledge From Growth

Okay. Thursday, the 5th of February 2026. And for the 1st time, it's coming up to like, it's just gone past 5 o'clock in the evening.

And I've had a little bit of time, as opposed to reflect, after, you know, kind of like having completed my performance. And, uh, you know, if I'm being sincere with myself, like, you know, I've got a little bit of a mixed bag. There are several aspects of my performance that I'm very proud of.

I'm very happy with, and there are several aspects of my performance that I'm not so proud of and not so happy with.

And again, you know, if I'm being honest, I, uh, the thing that I concern myself with, um, maybe a little bit too much at times is being understood or making sure that the audience can follow what it is that I'm saying.

I had 2 pieces to perform, well, 2 pieces that I wanted to perform.

I could have done more. I was welcome to do as much as possible. Or, you know, as much as what would make me feel happy with what I had.

And, you know, the thing is, is like, it's the realisation that I was in a space and I had a crowd that isn't quite, like, you know, it's not quite, um, not, you know, when I'm dealing with a mixed crowd of um, people, uh, people that are not particularly attuned to listen to either rap or spoken word, whatever it is that I had.

I have to focus and I have to make sure that I'm not kind of like completely lost within my own emotions and stuff like that because I may find that a lot of the words that are coming out are not really being heard and, you know, that's always something that has to be thought about when it comes to kind of like performing.

You always have to think about, you know, the intelligibility of your performance or even the audience's ability to actually connect with what is what you're saying or what is happening.

Sometimes the words don't need to make sense. I be honest. You know, if you can just really express yourself and really let the emotions go, then people can connect and people can be there with the emotion itself.

But, you know, there's always there's always a bit of a balancing act, and it always requires kind of like, you know, a tuning and, you know, to each performance in each piece.

Thankfully, the 1st performance was, you know, it was it was clear enough for people to capture. But, um, you know, there were a couple of stumbles here and there that I really want to kind of like start tweaking up.

But for the 1st part of 2026 is not a bad thing to have in the bag. If anything, I was more gutted, I wasn't able to get the full performance on camera. I'm going to be reviewing the footage and hopefully the vlogs will be out soon.

But until then, thank you.
