Easily Distracted

Tuesday, the 17th of February 2026. It's very easy to get distracted. I've spoken about this before, but it's definitely very easy to get distracted in this world of music creation.

Pursuing fame, becoming established as a reputable artist.

And if I'm being honest, just essentially trying to fulfil this, you know, this desire that we have to be more than the version of ourselves that we cover in the arts, very, very easy to get distracted. I find it really and truthfully fascinating, especially in 2026, how we tried to do so much on our own because we wanted the credit for everything.

When I say we, I speak for myself. Uh, I definitely just want to be so grandiose that I want the credit for everything, but when I actually look at the finished product of a very brilliant and well polished artist, 2 Park, for example, Biggie Smalls, Buster Rhymes, Eminem, Gets, Skeptar, P Money, retch free to chip to name a few.

I tend to find that what I seem to miss is all the works and all the efforts and all the expertise that is put together behind their talent that allows them to shine in every capacity of the way.

Whether it be on a stage, uh, in a music video, uh, at a fan, meet and greet for goodness sakes, at a merch sale, uh, you know, in a podcast interview, wherever it is. I find it superbly fascinating.

That, uh, you know, this is where, you know, this is where we're at, really, you know, to the point where we want to be able to shine across all of those disciplines, but a lot of it, you know, I know I started by saying that it's very easy to get distracted, but my point being is that I want to learn how to let go.

I want to learn how to focus on what's important and focus on the 20% of the things that I do that give me the 80% of the result. Rather than scattering my attention across 80% of like different tasks that only really give me 20% of the results.
