Don’t Think, Just Act

Saturday, the 4th of April 2026. Cool. So whilst I was in prison, right? There was an office, so to speak, and this was almost like a hub that you went, you know, you went to when you needed to have access to information. You needed to find, uh, you know, maybe there was
something that you needed or maybe there were like certain queries that, um, you wanted to ask. And it was always like a sign, right?
It was not necessarily like a sign. There was always something that was stuck on the wall and I'm not entirely certain if the officers that were effectively working there were really paid much attention to that sign. But I believe that on that sign, literally, it said something along the lines of like, you know, don't think, you know, just to act, right?
Or don't think, just do. And honestly, like, whenever I reflect back to that sign or that message, I honestly, like, you know, have, you know, there's always more than I can unpack from those simple words. And I've discovered very much that in my journey of becoming a rap artist, I am a massive, massive thinker.
I theorise, I strategise, I you know, constantly sit there thinking, planning, thinking, planning, thinking, planning. And, you know, I procrastinate before I finally get to the position when I start to do something, when I start to act without thinking about anything really and truthfully, right?
And then I've been thrown, I suppose I threw myself into the real world.
I threw myself into, you know, the world, you know, even though I wasn't, even though I haven't spent a massive amount of time in the music industry itself, when I was out working with somebody who just does, somebody who just acts, the difference is night and day.
Like, uh, and I think there is a massive strength and there is a massive power in just doing, like literally just doing. And the thing is, it's like, you know, I think there is a certain balance that needs to be struck because one needs to be intentional.
One needs to know understand why they're doing something and how they're going to get to a certain goal.
But as soon as somebody begins to do something, as soon as somebody's decides that they're just going to act, you know, they will outpace anything around the world. They will literally get to a certain destination before anything from the world.
And that's why sometimes some of the most successful people on the planet aren't necessarily the smartest. They don't necessarily think they just do.
And it's very important. I say it's important, it's very interesting. The food for thought that I want to leave this with, on the other hand, is like, you know, what's going to happen when the person who is a master thinker also starts to become an excellent doer?
