Alleviation

Yeah boy, Monday the 24th of, I want to say February 2025 and I might want to talk a little bit about the source of our happiness. Now as much as we think here that our happiness effectively kind of like rests upon the things that we desire, a lot of the times I feel like our

happiness kind of like rests in the alleviation from the things that we don't desire. So things like poor finances, things like kind of like being overwhelmed from our bills, like relief is effectively like one of the words that I use as a gauge in a sort of sense to talk

about like the things that kind of like make me happy, knowing that I don't have to deal with like certain stressful situations because I've handled them. For example, it's the 24th today and I've got £80 hidden somewhere and I'm meant to take that £80 to the shop which is literally like 2 minutes away and like you know that's going to effectively pay for my electricity bill for like this month and already, sorry when I say this month I'm talking about March and already like in March I'm going to start working towards kind of like you know the money that I need to pay to pay for the next electricity bill so on and so forth.

So it's the alleviation from the things that I don't want that are effectively like one of the biggest sources of my happiness. And rather than thinking about like the things that I think are going to make me happy, like I don't know, like a video game here or maybe kind of like, I don't know, like a car there or whatever it is that I think is going to make me happy, it's not actually what is going to give me that everlasting happiness. It's you know, often times it's just the freedom and the alleviation of kind of like you know,

you know the things that I don't want. Like you know, I feel like this is a lot of what I experienced when I was a kid. I got to experience a massive great deal of alleviation from the things that I didn't want because my parents had to deal with it. And now that I'm an adult, I've learned how to appreciate all of those things, if that makes any sense.
