A Personal Rant

Tuesday, the, um, 27th of January 2026. You know, I went on a drive earlier today, if I'm being honest, and um, you know, upon my drive, you
know, I was just basically vlogging, and I was just basically saying whatever it was that came to my mind, then honestly speaking, I was ranting quite a lot, and I was ranting about how, um, you know, artists, musicians are always at the bottom of the food chain, the food chain, especially the musicians that want to make it big in the kind of like a popular business or popular music business, you know, in the music business, so to speak, right? Like, honestly, we're always at the bottom of the food chain.
We're always having to rely on a producer, always having to rely on a digital streaming platform, always having to rely on a label, always having to rely on something.
And really and truthfully, like, you know, we're always going to have to rely on someone no matter how independent, you know, kind of like we are open quotation marks, close quotation marks, by the way. We're always going to have to rely on someone, but it's kind of like, you know, the thing that I was ranting about was the entire mentality that many of us possess, um, because a lot of us don't really have a clue as to how to even make £one from one of our songs.
And yet we expect, like, the whole world to be kind of like given on, you know, to be fed to us on a silver platter, so to speak, and it's really frustrating.
Um, you know, over the years I've spent countless amount of hours just basically educating myself, learning, studying, practising, although to be honest, I wish I practised a little bit more because at the end of the day, the results come into the practice, applied knowledge, applied theory, you know, applied wisdom. These are the things that kind of like get me to like where I get to and it's the application of those that basically matter.
But, you know, I'm not saying you're complaining.
I'm not sitting here complaining that I still haven't made money for music. I'm not sitting and complaining that I'm not getting the most amount of views because I know what needs to be done and I just need to basically crack at it rather than expecting somebody to like work a little bit extra for something that I'm not willing to do.
