Your Own Boss

Sunday, the 15th of March 2026. Learning how to become your own boss can be a very lonely journey. It is a very learning, lonely journey. Because, you know, for many reasons, it's a very lonely journey, especially, you know, when you're a family man, you know, when you're married.

There are often at times, like, you know, many things that I personally worry about and things that I think about and things that go through my own mind, that often remove me from the present moment, from the innocence of my children, from, you know, the, uh, I suppose, call it the intimacy of my wife.

The things that I suppose my family just want to experience and can experience because they're not like me thinking about, um, not necessarily the uh, nitty gritty of uh, entrepreneurship, not necessarily like, you know, the the ins and outs of like business, especially when it comes to music business.

But more so, you know, thinking about a future in a very, uh, I think, not necessarily a technical way, but thinking about things, uh, having to look, look out for things and look out for potential threats, it, it could be a very lonely experience, um, because often at times when I'm sat down and I'm trying to effectively relax,

disconnect myself from my problems, it can be a very, it can be a very overwhelming process trying to switch off and often at times when there's a lot of running around going on around the house or when there's just, you know, when my attention is being requested for during certain moments, it's very, very difficult to switch off.

And it's a feeling that I don't know how to describe it. It's a feeling that, I suppose, I'm not sure how many people really relate to it. you know, if that makes sense.

It's like I need to be in a specific circle of people in order to meet or have the sort of conversations where people can really understand what that truly feels like.
