Back To The Present Moment

Sunday the 1st of March 2026. I meditated for the 1st time in like a very long time to be honest. I'm not gonna lie, it's probably been like a very long time probably since 2020.

Maybe later, I'm not particularly sure. So it's been around like 5 to 6 years since I've

meditated. And, uh, you know, the experience went a lot better than I thought it did.

Now usually, um, you know, 20 minutes of doing absolutely nothing when I'm so used to swiping away on my phone or constantly doing something. Uh, it's supposed to be quite unbearable.

When I say unbearable, it sounds a bit dramatic, but it's actually quite tricky because the whole reason why not necessarily why one should benefit, but the reason why I meditated is to effectively regain control of my nervous system, to regain control of my reward system. to put myself in a position where I allow myself to be bored.

And um, you know, I genuinely thought that it was going to be quite uncomfortable, like, you know, uncomfortable to simply allow time to do its thing, but, you know, it was actually that very pleasant. I really enjoyed it. And hopefully, like, you know, by the end of the year, if I'm able to stay consistent with it, if I'm able to just do it, you know, 20 minutes, you know, once a day, you know, pretty much every day, then I'll be able to, of obviously, like, you know, reap the benefits and effectively, you know, lose, just be, just being able to remain calm, especially during stressful situations.

And it's something that is very important, especially, you know, when it comes to the music industry because it can be a very high paced and it can be a very, very stressful environment to be in.
